Mooring Services
PSD OIL & GAS LIMITED, do not only install and maintains mooring systems for drilling rigs, drill-ships, semisubmersibles, floating production systems, and oil barges, but also provides a complete inventory of mooring components for sale, rent, or rent-purchase.
This includes complete mooring systems, high holding anchors, large diameter chain, chase and extension wires, high-capacity spooling units, and inspected connections. Recovery and deployment of these mooring systems is performed by PSD’s highly experienced professional anchor handling crews.
PSD provides a wide variety of wire maintenance services including wire rope socket terminations and inspection, cleaning, and coating of wire rope in sizes 2" to 3 3/4". PSD designed and built a wire rope coating unit capable of coating wire rope in an environmentally safe and efficient manner.
Mooring System Rentals
In addition to conventional and suction anchor mooring services, PSD also provides a wide variety of secondary mooring system rentals, including wire back-down systems, standby systems, test and material barge systems, dead-man anchor systems, and marker systems.
PSD has access to multi-service vessels that are well equipped with all the necessary anchor handling tools, as well as DGPS positioning equipment used for deployment and retrieval of these mooring systems.
PSD uses an extensive seafloor database for safe and precise anchor deployment. Whether the assignment is a jack-up, platform, TLP, Spar, or semisubmersible, PSD can provide a mooring system, regardless of water depth. Standby/back-down systems are used by most operator clients to facilitate ease of loading and offloading vessels that supply these facilities in the field. PSD is often called upon to specially design and configure a specific system or application. These services are provided through PSD’s marine operations.
